H-E-B opens new Leander store

Leander-area residents have a new H-E-B store to shop at starting Nov. 17.

H-E-B held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new store Nov. 16, but the store will open to shoppers Nov. 17. The store is located in the Bar W Marketplace at the intersection of Hwy. 29 and Ronald Reagan Boulevard.

The store has expanded food departments and additional amenities such as curbside services, home delivery services, a full bakery and tortilleria, store-made sushi, a wine and beer department, a floral area with online ordering, a pharmacy with a drive-thru and a Meal Simple area.

Plans for the 102,000-square-foot store were announced in October 2020.

The store celebrated its opening with monetary gifts to local nonprofits Hill Country Community Ministries, the Leander ISD Educational Foundation, Operation Liberty Hill, the Liberty Hill ISD Education Foundation and the Georgetown ISD Education Foundation.

H-E-B also presented Aaron Cabrera, a U.S. Army veteran who served two combat tours in Iraq, with a mortgage-free home to be built in Santa Rita Ranch in Liberty Hill. H-E-B gave the home in a partnership with Operation Finally Home and Highland Homes.

The store is located within Leander city limits at 19348 Ronald Reagan Blvd., Leander. The store will be open from 6 a.m.-11 p.m. daily. 512-843-4902. www.heb.com/heb-store/US/tx/leander/h-e-b-at-ronald-reagan-blvd-774
